Gamers, unite in the name of charity! If you are an avid gamer of 4 games in particular – PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, League of Legends or Call of Duty, read on.
With circuit breaker measures in place, many online and offline charity events has been postponed or cancelled, making it hard to conduct charity drives. But now there’s good news for some of these charity organisations because a group of people in Singapore’s gaming community has come together to organise a series of online charity tournaments! These tournaments are also a part of #SGUnited, #SGStrong initiative.
Check out their video here:
Now, what exactly do you need to do, you ask? All you need to do is to sign up for the tournament of your choice. This is open to public, so it doesn’t matter if you are a Elite, Epic or Mythic on #MLBB, or Bronze, Platinum or Conqueror on #PUBG.
The registration process is simple. Simply form a team, name your team and appoint a team captain. Upon successful registration, the team captains will be instructed to make the $10 registration fee donation at the fundraiser page here. With the official receipt from the donation, all participants will be eligible for tax reductions. If you feel up to it, you can also donate more than the required amount!
All proceeds from the registration will go straight to Red Cross Singapore, who is the beneficiary for this fundraising campaign. The funds will go towards helping those affected by COVID-19.
The tournaments will commence on the following dates:
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Mobile: 17 May 2020, 2pm
Call of Duty Mobile: 20 May 2020, 2pm
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang: 23 May 2020, 2pm
League of Legends: 30 May 2020, 2pm
According to A3M1 Event, one of the organising partners,
It’s a play-from-home event, so stay home and stay safe!
