It’s simple, easy and made locally. No prizes for guessing what is that. Yes, this is your regular kopitiam kopi made atas, a commitment to quality and taste! Even if you are not a coffee-lover, they serve the usual array of traditional drinks found in hawker centres such as Milo, Kopi, Teh and Yuan Yang. Along with freshly toasted traditional bread slathered with kaya-butter and soft-boiled eggs, well you get the picture here! It’s the ultimate comfort cuisine in the heart of us locals!

Their kopi starts at $1.90 for sio and $2.30 for peng versions. Pair your drinks with their baos or fried snacks that ranges from $5 to $8. And it’s all in tabao-friendly sizes!

Beyond Coffee serves up the most curious-sounding liquid concoctions. By merging flavours you never thought would work with coffee, they host one of the most unique range of crafted coffees in Singapore! It’s like BBT, but kopi.

If you’re feeling adventurous, start with their specialty drinks such as Tomato Tango that’s a special mix of cherry tomato, seaweed and coffee for $7.50. Wait, seaweed?

Or go cray-cray over the Pineapple Pop; a zesty fresh drink made with pineapples, soda and coffee, also for $7.50. Get hooked on these whole new flavour-bombs, because life is short.

Venture Drive


From eco-friendly cups to vegan alternatives, this cafĂ©’s minimalism-meets-industrial chic vibes is a hipster-esque pitstop for really good coffee. Just as the clean interiors of white and concrete grey suggests, Venture Drive focuses on single-origin coffee beans that are roasted in-house. Quality over quantity.

Their menu hosts a standard few: Coffee Black, White, Mocha and Tea, and prices starts from $4.50. It’s a focused selection to appreciate simplicity through honing this complex craft.

Enter a whimsical world in Kreams Krafthouse! Its rustic theme permeates the café and takes you into a wonderworld filled with the wafting aroma of coffee beans. Autumn colours are sprinkled in every corner, truly reminiscent of the scenes from K-dramas.

Since it is a Korean-inspired cafĂ©, you’ll find them serving up Dalgona Lattes ($8) paired with scones of different colours and flavours ($4). This is for you Dalgona fans and yay to not abusing your forearm with all the whipping! There are also other pastries available to satiate your hunger, so be sure to check this place out.

It’s a wild escape from the city’s blurring zip of activity into a beautiful haven dressed up in floral notes from head to toe! It’s the mellow countryside with good food and warm-loving coffee (or tea) that we never got to enjoy, AND they’re pet-friendly too! So bring your kids or fur-kids to spend a relaxing afternoon here.

The coffee starts at $4 and sweet pastries are a little pricier at $9.50. However, you’re sure to get the most bang for your buck because of the food quality and overall ambience. Not I say one – just check out their Google reviews! However prices depends on which outlet you go to because the Alkaff Mansion’s has a fixed menu while the Summerhouse’s one offers a weekday and weekend menu. #VeryFancy
