Bubble teas have made its way into the hearts of most Singaporeans and staked a claim as a staple treat in sunny Singapore. Swipe through your Instagram feed and you are bound to come across glorious pictures of this sweet treat.
Therefore, it is high time beverage companies start mass-producing this global favourite. Magnolia, by F&N Foods Singapore, has recently announced that they have just launched a limited edition milk flavour – Brown Sugar & Sea Salt.

Good things come to those who wait, indeed. And for those who have been patiently waiting for bubble tea shops to re-open, this must be a song to the ears. Brown sugar and salted caramel has been a long-time favourite since their entrance into the dessert and artisan drinks scene, so this is the best of both worlds. For health-conscious folks, you may be glad to know that this drink is higher in calcium, made with low-fat milk, lower in sugar and saturated fats. It has also been awarded the Healthier Choice Symbol by the Health Promotion Board.
While this is product does not contain tea, we think there is a world of potential out there with this drink. Add some tea to this drink to make your favourite brown sugar milk tea, or substitute this with plain milk to make brown sugar and sea salt-flavoured bakes.
This flavour may not be here to stay (for now), but fans of this brand of milk, or milk teas in general, will be able to enjoy this limited edition beverage from now till 31 July 2020. It is available at all major supermarkets, hypermarkets and selected convenience stores, and is priced at $4.50 per 1-litre pack.
