Geylang Bahru residents will probably see a larger dinner crowd this weekend.

This is after a Ben Lim posted on Facebook group 吃的平台 (eat.whereveruare), a community where people share food recommendations.

The post reads (translated from Mandarin):

It's now 2020... still can find satay at 30 cents per stick... the taste is not bad... make him go viral!!! Night Hoover Satay 57 Geylang Bahru, Singapore 330057

In 2015, Leslie Tay from ieatishootipost also reviewed this satay:

Apparently, this stall has been around for 41 years and is run by an elderly couple. The original stall used to operate in Hoover Theatre at Balestier, which explains why the name is still called Night Hoover Satay.

According to Leslie Tay, the satay is simple and savoury, unlike satays nowadays which is sweet and juicy, so don't get your hopes up. But given that the price has not increased for so many years, there's probably nothing much to complain about. A stick of satay in most places would cost 60 to 80 cents.

The stall is open only in the evenings, from 7pm to 10pm, and as with all satays, the waiting time may be long as the satay is grilled on the spot.

Night Hoover Satay is located at 57 Geylang Bahru Singapore 330057.
