The fine casual New York burger stand, Shake Shack will open its 3rd outlet in Singapore at Liat Towers on Orchard Road from 5 August, 6pm.

New and store-exclusive menu items include lemonades and ‘concretes’, a dessert that is similar to ice cream but with a richer, thicker and creamier texture. This is, of course, in addition to the famed burgers, milkshakes and hotdogs!

Debuts of Lemonades

Shake Shack updated its signature lemonades with 2 new additions. The first one is the Hand-Shaken Lemonade ($5.30), made of a blend of fresh fruits with lemonade and mixed in a cocktail shaker to give a refreshing and smooth flavour. Options for the fruits include lychee, blueberry and mango. The other is the Sparkling Lemonade ($5.30), featuring a mix of either passionfruit or raspberry with soda water for a perfect fruity cooler on a sunny day.

New & Exclusive Concretes

Partnering with local pastry shop, TARTE by Cheryl Koh, the Orchard Road Shack offers new concretes such as the Pie-Oh-My ($7.50 for Single; $9.50 for Double) and Orchard Traffic Jam ($7.50 for Single; $9.50 for Double). Koh was awarded ‘Asia’s Best Pastry Chef’ in the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants awards in 2016, so this was definitely one of the highlights to look out for when you head to this new outlet.

For the first time in Singapore Shacks, guests can perk up with Cold Brew by Common Man Coffee. If you are the kind of person that loves to finish your meal with a cuppa, this is a great option

The Pie-Oh-My is a vanilla custard blended with TARTE’s Treacle Pecan Pie, giving it a sweet and creamy texture with big chunks of pecan pie pieces that are made exclusively for Shake Shack. If you are someone who always crave a sweet dessert after a meal, this can be your option instead of a slice of cake.

The Orchard Traffic Jam (we love the play on the name!) features vanilla custard blended with blueberry lavender jam, lemon curd and shortbread, topped with fresh blueberries. This dessert is less sweet compared to Pie-Oh-My, and boasts a zingy and fruity kick to the palate. We’re not complaining for the crisp shortbread pieces embedded in the thick custard provides an additional layer of taste and texture with every mouthful.

Continuing the Stand for Something Good mission - which has been a consistent campaign since the opening of the first outlet her at Jewel Changi - five percent of sales from the fan-favourite Shack Attack concrete go to Club Rainbow, a non-profit providing compassionate services to chronically ill children and their families.

First-ever Digital Kiosks

For the first time in all Singapore Shacks, there will be an option for a self-ordering system with digital kiosks where patrons have the option to order their favourite items by themselves, even pairing the buzzers with their orders. We added bacon slices to our burgers and it was the best decision made. Try it!

Hopefully with these digital kiosks, it can ease the constantly-packed queues as witnessed at the other 2 outlets. We know what you are thinking… fret not for the screens will be sanitised by the staff after each use.

Murals By Danielle Tay

The Orchard Shack has also partnered with local Singaporean artist Danielle Tay to create colourful and vibrant murals of Singapore’s landmarks and landscape, that can be prominently seen at the outdoor dining area, as well as paintings hung on the walls of the restaurant, depicting scenes from Singapore Botanic Gardens.

Taking over the space from American diner Overeasy, this F&B outlet features an inviting outdoor dining area for guests who enjoy an alfresco experience instead. The Shack uses traditional garden and greenhouse elements to link the inviting patio to the inside space with abundant foliage, flagstone-style tiling, cherry wood, white marble, and brass fixtures. We imagine a group of friends or colleagues enjoying milkshakes and craft beers in the cool and breezy evening, catching up on one another’s WFH experiences.

Easy Grab-and-Go Bar

Skip the queues if all you are looking for is to get a drink to quench your thirst or sip on cold beer while you enjoy your walking-and-shopping trail along Orchard Road. Situated just along the main walking street is a beverage-focused bar which serves the new lemonades, cold brew and local craft beers for convenient grab-and-go. You can also get your food from there but it has to be for takeaway orders only. Hopefully this alternative methods will help to reduce long queue times!

Merchandise

Of course, no Shake Shack will be complete with its merch! Get your set of six iron-on patches from local brand, Pew Pew Patches with designs including the Merlion with burgers, the original Shack and nods to Orchard Road.
